State Hospital North is currently recruiting for a part-time (24 hours per week plus on-call coverage) Clinical Pharmacist. State Hospital North offers a challenging and rewarding work atmosphere. The successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background investigation after a conditional offer of employment.
Responsibilities:
Calculate dosages
Compound, prepare, package and dispense medical prescriptions
Consults with medical staff on medication changes and drug formulation
Maintain patient-profile records and cross-check for potential drug interaction, sensitivity, or adverse reaction problems
Monitor and train other professionals to monitor patients with potential adverse drug reactions
Perform clinical drug review for intermediate-care facility patients
Research, investigate and document pharmacologic reports with recomm! endations to physician
Order and stock drugs and pharmaceu! tical products at prescribed level
Ensure that use and storage of controlled substances conforms with legal requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be licensed in Idaho or eligible for reciprocal licensure as a Pharmacist (Idaho Code 54-1722).
Good knowledge of pharmacy operation procedures.
