The St. Luke’s Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serves infants and children through age 17 and is the most remote PICU in the country. Our pediatric population has a wide range of diagnoses that may include respiratory issues, traumatic injuries; pediatric surgeries, neurological, endocrine, sepsis , gastrointestinal, renal, cardiac, and seizure disorders.
Our interdisciplinary team includes pediatric trained critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, pediatric intensivists, dietitians, social workers, occupational and physical therapists; child life specialists, pharmacists, chaplains and subspecialty physicians. We also provide sedations and procedures for children who are outpatient with a family centered care approach. Currently the PICU consists of 13 beds. Registered Nurse â€" Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Shifts: Days, Nights & Rotating available
The registered nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs.
Required Criteria
Nursing Degree Required, BSN preferred
At least 1 year RN experience required: PICU, pediatrics or critical care experience preferred
Current RN licensure from the State of Practice
