Assists in the provision of pharmaceutical care to various customers under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Practices within the scope of state and federal regulations.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must be registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist Extern with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy. Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician Training Course or acceptance into an accredited College of Pharmacy program as a Pharmacist degree candidate is preferred. College level certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred. All technicians are required by the State Board to be Nationally Certified or registered as a Technician in Training prior to being registered as a Pharmacy Technician
1 year of experience as a pharmacy tech preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to create and foster a cooperative team work environment
Able to readily adapt to i nstitutional roles and schedules
Basic computer skills
Material resources and/or management skills preferred
