Transport Process Manager

GSK Pharma Logistics team manages around 25000 shipments every year from 80+ locations (GSK manufacturing sites and External Manufacturers) going into 100+ countries. The Transport Process Manager is accountable for defining, implementing, and maintaining a consistent process framework across all functions within Pharma Logistics (PL). This exciting role is accountable for operational standards within logistics to ensure simplification, standardization, and effectiveness of GSK’s global logistics processes. This includes processes, process hierarchy, touchpoints with other GSK global processes such as ERP Sales and Distribution, Warehouse Management, third- and fourth-party logistics service providers (3PL, 4PL) and all associated master data.

In this role you will…

  • Manage transport related processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), in coordination with Logistic Control Center (4PL) counterparts.

  • Support new processes/ capability development by providing relevant process input and as a subject matter expert.

  • Facilitate relevant governance meetings between Pharma Logistics and other areas of GSK and the Logistic Control Center such as change control/ requests governance.

  • Assess process changes for system impact and act as single point of contact with technical Subject Matter Experts aligned to internal systems (ex. SAP) and external systems (ex. Transport Management system).

  • Support the Global Process Owners to establish a Pharma Logistics Process model, with sponsor, steering committee, and process owners.

  • Implement, maintain, and support the business rules, standards (process, data and service) and associated KPIs.

  • Execute regular service reviews for audits for each functional area within logistics, establishing and driving CAPAs to closure.

  • Lead logistics process related continuous improvement projects.

  • Support the Master Data & Process Lead, along with ERP data leads/stewards to ensure data rules in place supporting business process requirements for all Logistics owned master data.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Solid experience in Logistics (cross border/ international freight movement, preferably in pharmaceutical or FMCG sector).

  • Data oriented mindset, with demonstrated experience in data management and analysis.

  • Experience in working with and maintaining documents like SOPs and other procedural documentation.

  • Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement projects.

  • Experience of working with a 4PL and/ or 3PL will be an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in English.

  • Master Degree or relevant experience.
