Description
The Clinical Pharmacist supervises pharmacy tech pharmacy support personnel, technicians, pharmacy students, pharmacy interns/externs, volunteers, pharmacy procurement specialist. This position ! requires interrelation/communication with pharmacists, pharmac! y supportive personnel, nurses, physicians, volunteers, medical students, parents, visitors, patient's families, hospital personnel in committees, respiratory therapists, dietitians, and sales representatives.
Sound professional judgment consistent with clinical/academic background and the hospitals requirements is essential.
Qualifications
Education and licensing: Degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and be licensed in the state of Idaho. Requires completion of all continuing education courses.
Experience in hospital pharmacy as an intern, resident, or pharmacist is helpful but not required. Computer experience is also a plus.
Knowledge needed for the job includes inventory control, quality management principles, and medical terminology. Dosage requirements and precautions for the following patients: neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Dosage requirements and precautions for the following patie! nts: acute care and skilled-nursing.
