We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our trade counter sales team in Dublin 6. As a Trade Counter Salesperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to our plumbing and heating customers. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be dealing with a wide range of people daily. While prior experience in a similar role is desired, we are open to considering candidates without experience, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide exceptional customer service to trade counter customers, offering product advice, information, and recommendations related to plumbing and heating supplies.
2. Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products based on their requirements and specifications.
3. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising the company's point-of-sale system.
4. Handle inquiries, resolve customer issues, and escalate complex matters to the appropriate department or supervisor when necessary.
5. Maintain a clean and organised trade counter area, ensuring that products are properly stocked and displayed.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective inventory management and stock replenishment.
7. Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and new product releases to better serve customers and provide relevant recommendations.
8. Work closely with the internal sales team to generate sales leads and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
9. Contribute to achieving sales targets and objectives by actively promoting special offers, promotions, and product bundles.
10. Complete administrative tasks, such as preparing quotations, processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate sales records.
Requirements:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.
2. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
3. Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
4. Basic computer literacy.
5. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop product knowledge.
6. Prior experience in a trade counter sales role within the plumbing and heating industry is desired but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
7. Knowledge of plumbing and heating products, fittings, and industry terminology is an advantage.
8. Availability to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with optional overtime on Saturdays from 9:30am to 1pm.

The salary for this position is negotiable and will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.
