The Boise VA Medical Center is recruiting for a Full Time Physician in the Primary Care Section of Medical Service.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.
Must pass pre-employment examination.

Must be proficient in written and spoken English DUTIES:
The Primary Care Physician must be clinically trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. The position devotes 100% of time to direct patient care. The selected physician will work with an expanded healthcare team (social worker, dietician, clinical pharmacist, behavioral health clinician, and a care manager) to oversee and coordinate medical care for veterans in a group practice setting and will oversee/coordinate the medical care for up to 1,200 assigned patients under the new Patient Aligned Care Team model. The selected individual will also need to collaborate with an assigned mid-level provider. The practice emphasizes evidence-base! d medicine, primary and secondary preventative medicine, the use of computerized medical record system and continuous quality improvement based on individualized provider data. Development and implementation of innovative care delivery systems for co-managed patients will be encouraged and supported.

Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are authorized for this position.

BASIC REQUIREM ENTS:
U.S. citizenship. Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

D egree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resul! ting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
